RULES
- ONE COUNTRY CAN APPLY FOR 2 TEAMS, ONE IN EACH AGE CATEGORY.
- juniors – 12 to 15 years of age, students who are 15 years old by August 20. 2020 are in the junior category.
- seniors – 16 to 19 years of age, students who are over 15 years old by August 20, 2020 are in the senior category.
- The team consists of 3 students and a team leader
- The competition is of an individual character
- The competition is held online, on specially prepared software,
- The competition consists of 3 segments:
• Knowledge test
• Multimedia test
• Practical task
The themes from which the questions in the Written Response Test and Multimedia Test of the Olympiad will be chosen are:
- climate and climate change
- hazards
- resources
- environmental geography
- landforms
- agricultural geography
- population
- economic geography
- development geography
- urban geography
- tourism
- cultural geography
- Current geo-political and other current events
- The practical task is solved by obtaining a specific task / photo, diagram, map / and the student is obliged to make an analysis and make a proposal to solve the problem.Student work in each segment is limited in time,
- The most successful participants receive diplomas,
- The prize fund is 60% of all participants.
- Original diploma will be sent by post to the participants. The PDF format will be sent by email.
- The registration fee per team is 30 euros, which covers the cost of sending diplomas and certificates and the use of software.
